Private Edition invited eight swedish groups to participate on a compilation dealing with the 30 year anniversary of the Jonestown tragedy. White Nights is the definitive soundwork on this subject, celebrating the memory of the dead, Jonestown and the Elvis of sectleaders - Jim Jones.
Each participant was provided a copy of the so called "Death Tape" that was found in Jonestown after the killings / suicides and is said to be a recording of the last 45 minutes of their lives. The mission was to record 15 minutes of music with this source tape.
White Nights is a 4xC30 box in heavy vinyl with a 20 page booklet including miscellaneous documents related to the Peoples Temple, Jim Jones, and/or Jonestown, Guyana. Limited to 100 copies. Available (but not for long) from Segerhuva, Release the Bats, Hanson and Molehill.
